You can create projection groups manually in the New Projections dialog box. For each projection group that you create manually, you must at least provide the following information:
Number of Units
Type Code
Weight
All other fields are optional. However, XPS validates fields with a pop-up menu against the codes file; therefore, make sure to enter a valid code, or leave these fields blank.
In the IMO Code field, you might enter multiple values. However, stowage views display only the first value. Also, if you do not provide a value in the Weight field, XPS displays an error message and does not allow to create a projection group.
If the N4 system or the imported vessel data does not include remain-on-board containers (ROBs, sometimes called throughs), you can create ROB projections and use them as placeholders while you plan the vessel.
To create a projection group:
Open a vessel.
From the Vessel menu, select Projections.
In the Projections window, from the Actions drop-down list, select Make New Projection Group.
In the New Projections dialog box, enter the projected container data. The following data is required:
Number of Units
Type Code
Weight
Click Create.
XPS allows to create a maximum of 9999 projections in a projection group.
